As announced on April 17, an issue has been identified where PDF files generated by Elysium products are not displayed correctly in Adobe Acrobat and Acrobat Reader.

We would like to provide an update on our response plan and schedule.

Issue Summary

  • 3D PDF files generated by 3D-SUITE (including report files such as PDQ Checker, CAD Validator, and PMI Checker) may not display correctly when opened in the latest versions of Acrobat and Acrobat Reader

Our Action Plan and Schedule (as of April 24)

1. Fix for 3D PDF Export Function in 3D-SUITE
  • April 24 (Fri.) (Today)
    • Release of 3D-SUITE EX10.0.12 Beta (*1)
    • This beta version is intended for customers using the 3D PDF Export function in the EX10.0 series
    • Fixes have been confirmed for 3D PDFs generated via 3D PDF Exporter and for CAD Validator report files
    • Quality assurance for PDQ Checker report files is still in progress. We appreciate your understanding and recommend using this beta version if an immediate workaround is required
    • Please contact your local Elysium representative for access to this release
  • May 12 (Tue.)
    • Release of 3D-SUITE EX10.0.12 Official Version (*1)
    • This will be the official fix for the EX10.0 series

(*1) EX10.0.12 is a patch for versions EX10.0.4 and later. Customers using versions earlier than EX10.0.4 should first update to EX10.0.4 or later before applying this fix.

  • May 19 (Tue.)
    • Release of 3D-SUITE EX11.0.3 Official Version
    • This will provide the fix for customers using the 3D PDF Export function in the EX11.0 series

 

At this time, there are no plans to provide fixes for EX9.0 or earlier versions.
We kindly ask customers using these versions to upgrade to EX10.0 or EX11.0.

2. Update Tool for Previously Generated 3D PDF Files
  • End of May (planned)
    • Release of Elysium 3D PDF Updater (*2)
    • We are preparing a tool to update 3D PDF files previously generated by 3D-SUITE.

(*2-1) The initial release is planned to support 3D PDFs created with EX10.0.4 or later (within the EX10.0 series), and EX11.0.2 or later (within the EX11.0 series).

(*2-2) Support for 3D PDFs created with EX10.0.3 or earlier (within the EX10.0 series), EX11.0.1 or earlier (within the EX11.0 series), EX9.1 series and EX9.0 series will be added sequentially after the initial release.

(*2-3) If you require an update tool for 3D PDFs created with the EX8.0 series or any earlier series, please contact us directly.
