Unlock Greater Efficiency in Scan-to-BIM Workflows
Elysium is excited to announce an update to InfiPoints, our cutting-edge point cloud processing solution. With the upcoming May 2025 release, we are restructuring the InfiPoints Standard Package to include BIM export functions—previously available as paid options. This update aligns with our commitment to streamlining engineering workflows and making point cloud data utilization more accessible across industries.

BIM Export—Now a Standard Feature
Starting in May 2025, InfiPoints users with an active maintenance contract will gain access to export functions for:
- Revit
- Rhino
Note: Export functions for manufacturing-focused CAD systems such as CATIA V5, NX, Parasolid, and JT will remain paid options.
With over a decade since its launch, InfiPoints continues to see growing demand from customers looking to streamline their engineering workflows and integrate point cloud data into BIM environments. This update helps ensure a smooth transition to a scan-to-BIM workflow and improve project efficiency.
Transforming As-Built Modeling with Highly Acclaimed Point Cloud to CAD Conversion
Among the many powerful features in InfiPoints, point cloud to CAD conversion is one of the most highly rated by users. By automatically extracting primitive shapes (planes and pipes) from point cloud data, InfiPoints enables engineers to effortlessly and accurately model:
- Building frameworks (walls, floors, ceilings, steel structures)
- Piping and duct systems
- Equipment
Equipped with powerful editing tools, InfiPoints significantly reduces the need for time-consuming manual modeling, allowing users to create detailed as-built models faster and with greater accuracy.

Real-World Success: 75% Faster As-built Model Creation
A leader in Japan’s HVAC industry, TONETS Corporation is committed to advancing engineering workflows and encouraging innovation in the industry. By integrating InfiPoints into their workflow, TONETS reduced lead time for as-built 3D model creation by 75%—a dramatic improvement over traditional methods.

Rather than relying on hand notes and photos, InfiPoints enables users to generate “70%-complete” as-built models semi-automatically from point cloud data.
Reducing On-site Pressure with a Digital Twin
In traditional methods, engineers had to complete hand measurements within a limited timeframe, knowing that any missing data could lead to additional site visits and extra costs, and delays in the construction schedule. The pressure of capturing every detail on the spot added significant stress to the workflow.
With InfiPoints, engineers can create a digital twin of the site, allowing them to take measurements anytime, from anywhere—even after leaving the site. This eliminates the anxiety of missing information and provides greater flexibility in project planning. This shift from manual data collection to a digital twin-based workflow significantly reduces on-site pressure and ensures that all necessary measurements are readily available when needed.
Seamless BIM Integration—Maximizing Workflow Efficiency
The created 3D models can be exported as parametric (editable) models to BIM systems such as Revit and Rhino, ensuring smooth interoperability. This means engineers can further refine and adapt the models directly within their preferred design platforms.
By accelerating model creation and providing editable exports, InfiPoints enables engineers to shift their focus to analysis and planning, ensuring more accurate, data-driven decision-making in renovation projects. This approach not only improves accuracy and reduces lead time but also eases the workload on engineers, making workflows more efficient and reliable.
Thinking about BIM? Evaluate the Full Workflow Advantage
If your organization is already using BIM software, this update presents an opportunity to explore scan-to-BIM workflows and integrate point cloud data more effectively.
If you are considering implementing a BIM system, we recommend evaluating not just the BIM software itself, but also the added value of combining InfiPoints with BIM modeling.
By leveraging InfiPoints’ advanced modeling capabilities, organizations can:
- Optimize data utilization for better project insights
- Accelerate timelines and streamline workflow efficiency
- Enhance accuracy in as-built modeling and analysis
