Abstract:

CAD data is constantly being changed, translated, and shared. It’s important to track these changes, validate that only what is meant to be changed gets changed and that every derivative matches the original data. Many companies validate data manually. It’s difficult, however, to catch every change and it takes time. This process is cumbersome and inconsistent, time-consuming, items get missed, and companies can run into a lot of trouble. Many of these companies, however, recognized these issues and found a better way. Come join Elysium as we discuss how companies have implemented an automatic, customizable, high fidelity validation process for 2D and 3D CAD data that has saved time and given confidence in their data.

Optimize and Protect NX and JT Designs

Abstract:

Sharing CAD data outside of one’s own company is a risky, but often inevitable process. It is essential to be able to collaborate and work with CAD data, while still protecting intellectual property. Often, manual work is done to remove an internal definition, hide essential components, and generally degrade the design to protect it. This can be time-consuming and cumbersome. There are, however, more efficient ways of completing these processes. Join Elysium as we discuss faster and more automatic options for optimizing and protecting NX/JT data for collaboration. Options such as simplification of CAD data, high-fidelity solid enveloping, and general options for size and detail reduction.
